introducing: Roz Roscoe
I qualified as an Occupational Therapist in 1992 from the Welsh School of Occupational Therapy in Cardiff. With previous experience of working in NHS management in Bristol I knew I could soon progress within a rotation of junior experience. I joined the Children’s OT Team in Wolverhampton in 1993 and worked my way up through senior roles to become the Team Lead in 2005.
My English and Psychology degree from Keele University in 1986 has given me a unique perspective on my work with children, their parents and professionals, including health and education staff. Seeing situations holistically and understanding the importance of the social, emotional and physical environment in a child’s life has enabled me to enjoy a highly productive and successful career.
I am married with two grown-up children of my own and a network of colleagues in health and education, both practising and retired, who enrich my understanding of children and young people’s needs today.
